A reach stacker is a vehicle designed to handle the movement of containerized cargo within medium and small-sized ports and terminals. Reach stackers are ideal for quickly shuttling containers short distances and piling them in rows.

Due their flexibility, reach stackers are a popular choice for handling intermodal cargo containers. They are capable of stacking higher than forklift trucks. With a reach stacker capable of second row access, container blocks can be kept four-deep.
