End Control Forklifts
The stand-up end control forklift is a really flexible machine and is popular in the material handling business. These machines have superior performance characteristics which are somewhat comparable to sit-down electric lift truck units.
Ideally, these forklift truck units are suited for warehousing operation environments which have limited space. Their working aisle requirements are often less than those required of a three-wheel electric forklift truck. These machines are an excellent choice for applications which require regular off and on access, as their stand-up design is an exceptional characteristic.
Numerous companies used a reach truck to maintain their storage facilities. These loading devices could arrange finished goods on pallets and supplies to be stacked or stored into tall shelving compartments. The reach truck offers safe and easy retrieval of the loaded pallets. It is also an excellent option for those who prefer to store pallets of goods they do not need for immediate use in a way which is both safe and efficient.
All standard reach truck models would have an out-rigging mechanism secured to the front of the equipment. Telescoping blades are mounted to the out-rigging and could move down and up. The blades additionally have a hydraulic system which allows the driver to lift the load and move it over the out-riggers. This particular design not only provides more balance to the overall load, but makes it easier for the reach truck to move between the storage shelves into narrow aisles.
When the selected shelf has been identified, the hydraulic blades swing into action and lower the pallet into the shelving unit, helping to slide the load into place. Usually, a reach truck will easily fit into an aisle which is less than 10 feet wide without any problem, so long as there are no other pallets protruding out from the shelving area.
