In regards to the manufacturing and warehousing industries, the lift truck usage all around the globe has continued to grow. The forklift is a powered truck designed particularly for raising and transporting objects. The equipment has gradually evolved and nowadays there are many modern designs for moving and lifting items. In the past decades, the machine has really grown and the designs have evolved so there are many modern designs and various trucks to suit each particular application. Loads are capable of lifting and reaching to greater heights than ever before.

Lift truck models are available in a wide variety of different power types like: diesel, gasoline, electric, diesel and liquid propane or LP units. The load capacities of these models range greatly since there are numerous manufacturers that design and build them. For instance, several units could reach a height of over 10,000 kg or over 3000.

The forklift truck features consist of mast and axles, an overhead guard, the counterweight, and the truck frame to which the base of the power source and all aforementioned things are connected. On the back side there is a counterweight connected to the truck. This counterweight counterbalances the load which is being lifted so as to keep the machinery stable.

The operator sits inside a cab and utilizes the controls to dictate the equipment's movements. The overhead is one more feature, that is a metal roof in order to protect the operator from falling things. Hydraulic tilt cylinders mounted to the mast and the frame. These tilts pivot the mast in order to engage the load. The mast is a vertical assembly that lifts and lowers the load with the interlocking rails to provide lateral stability.

There are numerous businesses and warehouses in the manufacturing fields that use lift trucks for transportation and lifting every day. Nowadays, there are many different second-hand and brand new lift trucks offered in the market at competitive prices. Those who rely on transportation and occasional lifting can use rental lift trucks because they are also available.
