Telescopic lift trucks
Telescopic lift trucks provide height and versatility. These units are outfitted with a pronged lift on an arm that extends over the top of the truck. The arm, or crane, is called a telescopic boom. The boom enables the operator to maintain a high degree of control while raising the load to great heights. Standard lift trucks can not move the cargo away from and towards the cab of the forklift, while a telescopic forklift allows that movement. The telescopic forklift is commonly used in agriculture and construction. It is better for applications where greater control and lift is necessary.
In situations requiring high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments referred to as forklift carton clamp attachments are better. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings which enable the operator to use uniform clamping force when lifting a cargo. It comes with a backrest that protects the loads from damage.
A slip sheet attachment fits onto a slip sheet forklift. It is utilized for storing systems that don't use pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forklift forks. This type of system is handy for intra-corporate deliveries and for overseas shipments.
A lift platform that is meant to raise workers is known as a Man Basket. It attaches to the forklift forks and a strap or chain is used to attach the basket to the lift truck carriage. The platform has railings to protect the workers from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are used for fastening the safety harness of the worker.
