Narrow Aisle Forklift
Used to both lower and lift loaded pallets from storage spaces that are high is a narrow aisle forklift. This particular type is recommended for work environments with narrow spaces between aisles, like warehouses or retail environments. The forklift has solid rubber, small tires that make maneuvering really easy.
Usually, the operator of this particular type of forklift stands up inside a small cockpit. The stand-up design enables the narrow aisle forklift to be as short and narrow as possible. A stand-up cockpit forklift usually has three tires: two in the front, and one in the rear. This configuration enables for fast and easy maneuvering. There are several versions of these forklifts that are available with a sit-down cockpit. The lift attachment can pivot to the sides, allowing the lift to be operated without the operator having to reposition the whole equipment. The sit-down version generally has four wheels.
An electric engine is utilized to power numerous narrow aisle forklifts. Electric-powered machines do not produce exhaust fumes and are quiet, making them the preferred choice for closed places such as retail spaces. Several lifts come with a gas engine or a diesel engine. Nevertheless, the diesel version is not recommended for indoor application because it could produce exhaust and be noisy.
