Potain Cranes Connecticut

Potain Cranes Connecticut

In 1928 in La Clayette, France, the company Potain was born. Ever since then, Potain has been the world leader in tower crane production. They are responsible for more than 100,000 cranes installed and sold all-around the world. Now, the company manufacturers more than 60 models from various manufacturing plants inside France, China, Italy, Portugal and Germany. The company represents many different product ranges used for a variety of applications. These machines are sold through an international Manitowoc dealer network.

The family of Potain cranes are divided into different tower crane families. The smallest cranes produced by Potain are the self-erecting cranes. These cranes vary from 1 ton to 7.98 ton capacity. The next size up is the top-slewing cranes that are both larger and higher. These cranes range from 7.98 to 64 tons. Furthermore, these are the biggest special application cranes which are custom-designed. These models provide a reach capacity of one hundred sixty tons.

Some of the main innovations with the company consist of the LLC range of hoists, the Dialog control system and the Vision Cab. The growing reputation of the company has expanded their appeal with various models. Potain cranes are usually found on traditional construction sites, power stations, bridge building projects, ship-building projects and shipbuilding yards.

Two of Manitowac's largest facilities are based in the United States. Their manufacturing facility is based within the state of Wisconsin. In this state, both crawler cranes and the tower crane components are constructed within Pennsylvania in the Shady Grove facility. Here mobile cranes and boom trucks are manufactured. Regional offices are located within Mexico and within Brazil. Additionally, the extensive dealer network found all over Connecticut and the United States offers coverage and support unrivalled by any other crane manufacturer.

Manitowoc has dominated the lifting market in North America for over 50 years. They have built their solid reputation with a combination of outstanding service and support and quality products. The well-known names of Manitowoc, Grove and national Crane have been leading members of their market sectors in the United States, Connecticut and Latin and South America.
