Haulotte Aerial Work Platforms Connecticut

Haulotte Aerial Work Platforms Connecticut

The business Pinguely-Haulotte was recently named the Haulotte Group during the year 2005. The change in name was the first time within 124 years the name has not included Pinguely. The Haulotte Group is known for manufacturing articulated work platforms, telescopic work platforms, trailer mounted work platforms, vertical mast-work platforms and scissor lifts.

The Haulotte Group acquired Bil-Jax, Inc. on July 24th, 2008. Bil-Jax is the biggest scaffold manufacturer in the US. Currently, Haulotte Group has three factories in France, one plant in Spain, one in Romania, near Pitesti City. There is a new factory that opened during the winter of 2008. This plant is only 1 km away from the existing plant near Pitesti in the County of Arges. The factory is called Arges II. There are also two factories within the United States, the former Bill-Jax.

Pinguely
The company was formed in 1881 in Lyon, France by Alexandre Pinguely. The company initially build steam locomotives. The business evolved into making machines eventually. During 1892, they supplied a locomotive to the Chemin de Fer de St Victor a Thizy.

The company provided 7 steam engines to the Voiron-Saint-Beron railway. Pinguely was not considered a main locomotive manufacturer when it comes to numbers produced. The company supplied a steam locomotive to the Chemin de Fer du Haut-Rhone in the year 1930 and by the year 1932, Pinguely started making steam shovels. Steam locomotive production was stopped and the company started concentrating instead on mobile cranes and manufacturing earthmoving machines instead.

Haulotte
Arthur Hualotte established the beginnings of Haulotte during the year 1924, when it was known as Ateliers de Construction A. Haulotte. This company specialized in manufacturing derricks, aerial platforms and mobile cranes.

Pinguely-Haulotte
Manufacturing it was decided to be sub-contracted to Pinguely-Haulotte, who was to be responsible for the engineering and marketing, design, research and development. All products were abandoned by Saubot so that the company can focus on self-propelled aerial work platforms.
