Peiner Construction Cranes Connecticut

The global leader in the manufacture and design of a huge range of Peiner Buckets and Grapples is SMAG Germany. Our production line is comprised of hydraulic lifting machines, electro-hydraulic motor grabs, mechanical motor grabs, a variety of other kinds of specialized lifting equipment and single rope radio control grabs.

To date, Peiner has supplied over 75,000 units across the globe. Our unique grabs deal with a variety of materials from cement, iron ores, fertilizers, coke, refuse and scrap, among a range of other products. Our many years of experience in the overall designing process and in manufacturing excellent products helps to enable our customers be given the proven technology their various applications require.

In the United States marketplace, SMAG/Peiner has been represented by Peiner USA, Inc. Different industries like for instance Waste to Energy, Scrap handling, Steel Mills, and many other material handling facilities including Bulk Transfer Facilities now utilizing our buckets and grabs to get their jobs done.

Peiner's design philosophy has continually revolved around the idea of producing grabs which deal with the biggest volume rather than grab dead weight. Typically, the bucket and grab lifting ratio's meaning that 60 percent of material is dead weight vs. 40 percent grab dead weight. This means moving greater quantities of supplies faster. There is less wear and tear on the structure of the crane and its related components. By combining high quality materials and innovative design with manufacturing, the weight ration which is desired is obtained.

In order to meet the specific needs of our clients' individual requirements, grab sizes vary from less than 1 cubic yard to more than fifty cubic yards. Peiner USA Inc. also provides a complete service facility and spare parts facility for the units purchased within the USA, as well as the addition of new buckets and grabs.
