JLG Telehandlers Connecticut
John L. Grove decided to stop working after spending numerous years working side by side with his brother to build their crane construction company into a global leader. His wife Cora as well as John celebrated their retirement by going on a cross-country trip in their recreational vehicle. After that journey, JLG Industries, Inc. emerged and became the world's top manufacturer of specialized material handling machines and mobile aerial work platforms.
John spent much of the time during the R.V. journey talking to prior business associates that the Groves were visiting on their journey. While they were visiting the Hoover Dam, tragically, 2 workers were accidentally electrocuted on scaffolding. Through subsequent conversations, John discovered a big untapped market for a kind of equipment which could quickly and safely lift people into the air to be able to carry out maintenance and construction functions.
When John and his wife returned from the trip, John decided to take action. He and two close friends began a partnership and after that purchased a small metal fabrication company within McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. During 1970, with an initial team of 20 workers, the trio built and sold the very first JLG aerial work platform. Many parts of the basic design elements of that first machine are still being integrated into the existing equipment
Since John L. Grove first drove back into town from his cross-country trip, the company has come a really long way. They have dramatically grown since their first aerial work platform originally launched on the marketplace. Even these days, JLG continues to expand into additional global markets. Many innovative machines are designed to help customers work safer and be more productive.
JLG has remained devoted to being at the forefront of the business. The company takes operator comfort into consideration very seriously. They try to deliver in performance, in addition to safety and overall comfort so that the operator could be as productive as possible.
